Admission Process and eligibility criteria

The admission process for diploma courses in our college is primarily centralized through the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). While traditionally based on the PrePolytechnic Test (MP PPT), recent cycles (including 2025 and 2026) have moved towards merit-based admission using Class 10 or 12 marks.
1. Key Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification : 3-Year Diploma : Minimum Class 10 (High School) with Science and Mathematics. Lateral Entry (2-Year): Class 12 (with Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or 2-year ITI course. Minimum Marks: At least 35% to 45% aggregate in the qualifying examination, depending on the category and institute.
Domicile : Preference and a majority of seats are reserved for candidates holding a Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate.
2. Admission Steps
The process is conducted online via the official DTE MP Online portal.
Online Registration : Create a profile by providing personal details, mobile number, and Aadhaar number.
Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of your 10th/12th marksheet, domicile certificate, category certificate (if applicable), and passport-size photograph.
Choice Filling & Locking : Select your preferred colleges and diploma branches. You are often advised to lock at least 25 choices to increase your allotment chances.
Merit List Release : DTE prepares a common merit list based on your qualifying exam marks.
Seat Allotment : Check the portal for your allotment letter, which specifies the allotted institute.
Reporting & Confirmation : Visit the allotted college for physical document verification and pay the admission fee within the specified dates to confirm your seat.
